Au Contraire Update
Hey Folks,
We're just over a couple of months out from Au Contraire 2016, and the full schedule is up on our website here: http://ac2016.cons.nz/timetable.php. As with all NatCons, things can change at the last minute, and we'll notify people with as much warning as possible if things do change.
We're offering a Writing Workshop again, run this year by Anna McKenzie. This is being run 9am-11am on Saturday Morning, and is strictly limited to 15 people. This also has an additional cost of $25. You can register by email to 2016writingworkshop@gmail.com.
For our contests, there's just over 5 days to get your entries in for the writing contest if you want to win up to $250 cash. Full details are on the website under http://ac2016.cons.nz/competitions.php, and we've had a number of entries, so keep getting these in. The competition closes at 11.59pm on March 31st.
We've also got an Art Contest, and a Filk contest, details for both are on the same page. There's also the Cosplay Parade (Masquerade) on the Saturday Evening, so bring along your favourite Cosplay and Costumes that you've worked on.
If you aren't aware, there are Sci-Fi meetups in Auckland and Wellington that can be reached through the http://www.meetup.com/aucklandscifi/ and http://www.meetup.com/Improbable-Impossible-Sci-Fi-Fantasy-book-and-movie-club/, which may be a great opportunity to meet other people involved in Fandom that don't show up for cons, and also get them involved with this years convention, as well as future conventions as well.
