Short Story Contest Update
Thank you to everyone who submitted their work. We received 37 eligible stories of an extremely high quality - they were a pleasure to read. In a nod to our overall judge, Phillip Mann, the stories tended to have a strong world-building aspect and the pre-judging team of Lee Murray and Dan Rabarts had a very tough time selecting just six finalists. However, those six stories have now been forwarded to Phillip, and we await the outcome. As advertised, all participants will be notified of the results by the end of April, with the award presentation to take place at the closing ceremony of the convention. Once again, we’d like to thank SpecFicNZ for their generous contribution to prizes.
